Where can this equipment be installed?
This equipment can be installed on any refrigeration system, be it a domestic sized A/C or a large industrial chillers. It can be installed on water chillers, brine chillers, cold rooms, freezers, fridges, offices which are found in any commercial outlets.
How does the system work?
The system achieves energy savings by working on compressor optimization. It makes sure that the compressor works within the most energy efficient thermodynamic cycle for the given setup. While conventional controls use only “static” values to switch the compressor ‘Off’ or ‘On’ or adjust capacity our products use 2 proprietary software programs to actively adjust these values. This reduces compressor run time for the same amount of heat removal thereby lowering electricity usage (KVAh)
Will this system result in increased controlled space temperature?
No. This system works within the existing temperature bands (limits) of the original setup and works in series (in line) with the existing primary controller. Average temperature or suction temperature will remain unaltered.
Will this system void the warranty of my plant?
No. This system interfaces after all protection control and it also prevents short cycling, therefore it has no adverse effect on the equipment. Smartcool can provide correspondence from many major compressor manufacturers indicating that the technology will not affect warranties.
Will this system decrease the reliability of the system?
No. This system always fails to safe, in the unlikely event of a fault occurring on our system it will automatically override. Your refrigeration plant continues to work normally as if our system was not even there.
Are there restrictions as to what type of compressor can this equipment be installed on?
No. This equipment can be installed on any type of compressor but is not suited for blast chilling applications.
Does this equipment provide any ‘soft’ benefits?
Yes. In addition to the energy savings and related cost reduction achieved by our equipment clients also receive several other benefits:- Reduced compressor run hours and starts

- Less wear on the compressor

Once installed how is the continued operation of the equipment guaranteed?
Our electronic equipment has no moving parts that are susceptible to wear and breakage. The equipment has proven itself to be very reliable in thousands of installations worldwide, but in the unlikely event of a breakdown all of our products are covered by a 12 month product warranty period
